How to process payment with Stripe Verifone P400

This article helps you process and review payment using Stripe Verifone P400 terminal.

Process payment with Stripe Verifone P400

Make sure your terminal is running and connected to your POS.

On the payment screen, select Stripe Verifone P400.

Select Stripe Verifone P400 as payment method

If necessary, click on the Amount field to change how much to charge the customer.

Click Accept amount to add this payment method to your order. Finalize the order and select Complete Checkout (or Mark as Partial if you’re allowing partial payment).

A popup lets you know the terminal is processing payment.

The POS pushes the due amount to the terminal automatically. Customer can follow the instructions on the terminal to complete checkout.

If the transaction is successful, the order is complete and you can print receipt for the customer.

If there’s an error with the transaction, the POS will go back to payment screen and display a message.

You can try using the terminal again, or remove Stripe Verifone P400 and choose another payment method.

Here’s how transaction from Verifone Stripe P400 terminal appears on POS and Magento backend:

  • POS receipt:
    • Payment title (Configured in POS settings, Verifone P400 for example)
    • Paid amount
    • Card type (VISA for example) and last 4 digits
    • Reference number
